1. Any text can not eb created on its own. Someone creates it. Even Vedas. If you want to believe the other way, you are free. Why protecting cows only. All forms of life are similar. People tend to support and follow popular opinion, without questioning. It was even glorified. Cows urine is good for things, so is cow dung. In olden times, where science is not well developed, these concepts may be acceptable. But now………
2. Ideas are fine and everyone believes in subjective ideas. Do we still want to believe old concepts(which do not have any support or proof) in this technological age. Well subjective….
3. >90% of world population are non vegetarians. It is difficult to think of a world where all are vegetarians. Agreed, cruelty towards any animal or living being is reprehensible. Why only cows, why not buffaloes, goats, sheep etc. There is no specific reason why cow is singled out, but for confirming to a dogma. That said, I am a vegetarian.

4. Stratification in society is common due to feudal mindset. However, that was used to suppress some castes. That is illegal and cruel. As mentioned, caste system is not gone. This is the assertion of upper castes. Reality is different.
In most states, houses are not rented to lower caste people. In Haryana KHAP(illegally) rules lower castes. One can see the videos of Bezwada Wilson to know how lower castes are suppressed and continued in the same tradition for ages.
Brahmins may be at the receiving end in some states. That is not correct. However, many in Brahmins do not work and try to cling to their dharma etc to get a living. Can lower castes be given this privilege. Let Brahmins work in the field. This backlash on upper castes is to be expected. They ruled the other castes for ages. When they awaken, backlash will be there. Brahmins did not train themselves for the changed reality and cry foul.
5. Personal preferences are OK, as long as they do not interfere and impact others.
6. Upper castes try to justify Manusmriti classification in many ways. The meaning of the poem is clear and was used to suppress big section of society for ages. At least now, this should change.
Yes, anyone can choose job of his choice. However one should not be forced to do something which is not interested. Why only Brahmins worship in temples. Let them handover it to other castes. When you say “Being Open”, I thought it this way.

8. As such, different sects in Hinduism generated based on the then conditions. There are many internal conflicts in it. That can be seen as natural evolution of humanism.
9. Hindus as minority : In a family the authority of the head continues, as long as he maintains equality among members. In a country, major population needs to follow the same path. Be generous(of course, not at their cost) to other religions. We are seeing the fate of other religions(minorities) around us. Turning religious wont stop there, it extends to I am great/my sect is great etc. This will easily turn out of control. It is really heart rending to see minorities killed for no fault of theirs. Anywhere fot that matter.
There is no chance of India having hindus as a minority. Population growth rate of muslims is near replacement level and that of hindus is slightly lower. For the ration to turn other way, you can do the calculation and let us know(This is called scientific spirit).
To end, India should grow because of her intellect and mindpower and not their odd (baseless) beliefs started ages back.
